Shakira is expecting her first baby with Gerard Pique


SHAKIRA has confirmed she is pregnant.
The 35-year-old singer told fans she is expecting her first baby with Spanish soccer star, Gerard Pique, 10 years her junior.
Taking on her blog, she revealed she was cancelling engagements over the next week, including a set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
She wrote: “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!
“At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days.”
“This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, but I’m sure this weekend in Las Vegas will be spectacular and I will be closely following everything that happens there!
She added: “I’d like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding.
“Big kiss! And will see you very soon! Shakira.”
The Colombian singer, who was announced as the new coach on The Voice US earlier this week, later tweeted her regrets at missing the gig.
“I was really looking forward to the amazing iHeartRadio Music Festival, but will see you guys soon! Shak.”
The She Wolf star has been dating the Barcelona player for two years and officially announced the romance last year, by posting a picture of him on her Twitter page.
She tweeted: “’I present to you my sunshine.”
Before meeting the footballer, Shakira had an 11-year relationship with Antonio de la Rue, the son of a former Argentine president.
