TEN GOLDEN RULE OF LIVING

Living is a function of what we offer at present and outlive us.  So how do we live by taking the caption below which I have tagged the golden rule as our guide?

ON EARNING:
Never depend on single income. Make investment to create other source of income like trading, investment in treasury bills and government bonds, profitable business by partners or trusted ally.

ON SPENDING:
If you buy things you do not need, soon you will have to sell the things you need. Things you do not need are liabilities because they take your money without adding back to you monetarily. An expensive iphone or a blackberry passport that is bought just because it is trending is an abuse of purpose when it is not put into a profitable use. It will only consume more of your cash in terms of data consumption and other associated costs. Finally, you will either sell it at a discount or sell some of your valuables to maintain it. Be wise.

ON SAVINGS:
Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving. Savings is what you set apart from the onset when you earn an income. It is wrong to follow the trend of having to use what is left after every other bill has been settled as savings. What is the assurance that another expenses will not pop up? Be disciplined.

ON TAKING RISK:
Never test the depth of a river with both feet.  Every investment has an inherent risk in it. Though the higher the risk the higher the return, it is always advisable to spread your risk. Combine both low and high-risk investments. Let your portfolio of investment be balanced and never forget to insure yourself against risks. Be warned!

ON INVESTMENT:
Do not put all eggs in one basket. Investments have varied return on capital invested. Do not limit your investment to a sector. A peep into agriculture combined with services and management is a good leverage. Genius, isn’t it?

ON EXPECTATIONS:
Honesty is a very expensive gift. Do not expect it from cheap people. Cheap people have nothing to loose so don’t invest your precious time on them.

The past is a waste paper, present is a newspaper, and future is a question paper. Come out of your past, control the present, and secure the future.

When bad things happen in your life, you have three choices. You can either let it define you, let it destroy you or you can let it strengthen you.

Our eyes are in front because it is more important to look ahead than to look backwards. Keep the focus on your dreams.

We use pencil when we are young, but now we use pens. Do you know why? Because mistakes in childhood can be erased unlike now.

Act wisely.
